Lindy
Williams •
is widely regarded as an effective and versatile trainer and course designer
of both classroom-based and distance learning courses. As Head Designer
for Cambrian College's Teachers of Adults Distance Education Program,
she was responsible for co-ordinating instructional design in the production
of print and audio learning materials, as well as for delivering the program
through audioconferencing. She has also developed distance learning programs
for Bell Canada, Human Resources Development Canada, the Department of
Foreign Affairs, Public Works and Government Services Canada, and Cognos,
an international software development firm.
Katherine
Tierney •
is a training and development professional who has direct experience in
designing and developing distance learning and online training programs.
She is currently a consultant with an Ottawa-based firm that specializes
in distance learning, where she team teaches a workshop on the technical
and educational skills used to deliver training through two-way video
conferencing. Her recent experience includes working as a team member
to design on-line training products for the Department of Foreign Affairs'
Virtual School. Katherine also has formal qualifications and experience
in the field of broadcasting. She worked for three years in Master Control
for a Canadian company with international satellite broadcasting operations,
and as Senior Operator in a supervisory role for part of that time. Her
previous experience was in the field of sales, where she received training
which has made her an effective, successful salesperson.
