Ontario Municipal
Management Institute
Our president,
Lindy Williams, designed and delivered over one hundred training workshops
for municipalities all across Ontario, from fly-in northern communities
to large urban centres. Training topics included: Writing Skills, Time
and Meeting Management, Client Service, Presentation Skills, Management
and Supervision.
Through direct experience, we understand the environment municipal employees
work in, how they prefer to learn, what keeps them motivated, and how
to ensure they are successful.

Steps to Growth
Capital
This
online learning program is being developed for business owners who want
to find and secure venture capital. The program includes nine core modules
(or "Steps"), as well as four supplementary modules that cover
related skills such as communication, negotiation, and proposal writing.
Industry Canada's objective with this project is to offer Canadian business
people a highly interactive, enriched learning experience that meets the
highest standards. TheLearningDomain.com worked with the team to define
and shape the course content, to develop learning activities and exercises,
and to prepare storyboards to guide the production team.

Companion Tool
for On-line Course Developers
Canada
Customs and Revenue Agency has been actively designing and using web-based,
on-line training to replace many of its classroom courses. CCRA designers
are often not training experts, but rather SMEs in their own specialized
fields. We prepared a simple, easy-to-use on-line Companion Tool to help
these designers incorporate sound learning strategies and methodologies
in their training designs. The training tool presents some 16 important
principles of design, and then offers users more explanation of how to
achieve these in their on-line designs. Finally, users can see several
practical examples of how others integrate these design principles in
training products.
